Who Are We?

The Children First New London Initiative is a group of individuals and agencies concerned with the well being of young children birth to age eight. We have worked collaboratively to improve the lives of New London's youngest citizens since 1995 and are funded by the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund's Discovery Initiative. We always look forward to welcoming new members.

Our Beliefs and Values

Families, schools and the community are partners in the education of young children.

The responsibility for getting a child ready for school and therefore ready for life should be shared among all.

Children need safe neighborhoods where there is a true sense of community and belonging in order to thrive.

A child's ability to learn and succeed is dependent upon their health and safety.

Anticipated Outcomes

All children are learning; All children are healthy and safe.
